We are a real-deal, honest to goodness, small and artisanal family farm in a "Big Ag" universe, so we don't get the UPS discounts that big companies get (many places that call themselves "farms," in the plural, are actually large conglomerates). UPS directly determines the shipping cost. NONE of this goes to Chapel Hill Farm. Since UPS charges by the external box dimension, we suggest our customers fill the box! Maximize the value of your order by increasing the the quantity of your selected products. We cap the cost of shipping at $30 and cover the entire shipping cost if you order over $250 of product.
If we don't have all the products for your order in stock, we will fulfill your order in the next butcher cycle when your products are available. This is usually in the next week.

We avoid weekend deliveries, as they have proven unreliable. Due to the 2-day shipping schedule, shipments are sent out on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays ONLY. To determine when your order will be shipped and received, please refer to the following tables.
To receive a same-week delivery, order before noon on Wednesday.
Orders placed after noon on Wednesdays will arrive the following Wednesday. Orders placed Thursday - Sunday will arrive the following Wednesday.

Is a signature required for delivery?
No. All shipments are shipped with Signature Release. UPS will deliver to the shipping address you listed on your order with no signature required.
Will UPS ship to a Post Office Box?
No, UPS will not ship to a PO Box.

PACKAGING/ DELIVERY/ STORAGE
How do you keep my product cold during transport?
All products are vacuum packed and fresh frozen. Frozen chill packs are enclosed with the product (as is dry ice in hot weather), and the shipment is insulated. The chill packs may thaw during shipment. Dry Ice will naturally dissipate (disappear) during shipment. Ambient carbon dioxide is used to make dry ice, so no additional carbon dioxide is created. Products will thaw during shipment. As long as they are cold to the touch upon delivery, they are safe to consume.
Can I touch or handle Dry Ice by hand?
NO!!! Dry Ice must only be handled using tongs or heavily insulated gloves. Under no circumstances should Dry Ice be allowed to touch the skin!
What if my meat is thawed on arrival?
As long as your product arrives cold to the touch, it is suitable for consumption. When you receive your shipment, please place it immediately in the refrigerator if it is to be consumed within 3 days, otherwise place the product in the freezer.
What should I do if I want to prepare my Randall Lineback within 72 hours of delivery?
Place it in a refrigerator with a temperature of 40°F or below. It should be placed on a plate, ideally on top of a small cooling rack to allow air circulation.
When I thaw or store Randall Lineback in my refrigerator, should I remove it from its vacuum pack?
No. Do not remove the meat from the vacuum-sealed package when thawing or storing in the refrigerator. Do place a plate under the package when thawing.
If I don’t want to prepare the meat within 72 hours, what should I do?
Immediately place it in your freezer. It should be stored in its vacuum sealed package.
What if the product is cool but the vacuum seal is broken?
If you intend to cook the product within 72 hours, store it in the refrigerator and consume as usual. You may place the product in your freezer in its packet, but it should be used within a month; otherwise, freezer burn may develop.
What should I do if the meat is not cool to the touch?
Do not consume it. Do not throw it out. Photo the package and product and email the "Contact" link at the bottom of this page within 24 hours of delivery. If the vacuum packaging is intact, please refrigerate pending communication with the "Contact" link below.
